Students brutally beaten in Dhaka by Md. Yunus's Interim government. Student Protest Coordinator Hasnat Abdullah has called public urgently to resist against Yunus government sidelining student interests
Violent clash had erupted between Bangladesh Ansar personnel (paramilitary auxillary force) and students near the Secretariat in Dhaka this evening (August 25, 2024). The conflict started after Hasnat Abdullah, the coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, posted on Facebook that he and others were being held in front of the Secretariat despite Ansar's demands being previously accepted. This sparked students, primarily from Dhaka University, to gather around the Secretariat.
